In all it's complexity...this film doesn't really make sense

I enjoyed the movie for the first 45 minutes. After that it was muddled up with authorities bashing the party, so to speak. I see this film as a love story first, but without much emotion. You don't feel the love in this movie like you would others for comparison. With age progression in three spurts we are shown the interactions between a girl and a boy, but all for experimentation purposes. With both of them coming to the age where most of the movie occurs, we are filled with complex riddles and words which determines our actions, of which these actions are already predetermined beforehand, but you don't become aware of that until later on in the film. I was left with my final thoughts on this film: It is a stupidly complex film without emotion, supposedly trying to make you think that life and the universe is just a code with all of our thoughts/actions/feelings being predetermined by such code. The love story was dull to say the least and the explanation at the end is missing much.

A Step Away From Reality

This movie encompasses some very distinct aspects of our world, and it should be taken with a grain of salt. The reviews gave me some sort of skepticism, but I fell in love with this movie nonetheless. The story itself is clear and ties in with various logical aspects of the real world such as Quantum Mechanics and whatnot, and while other ideas are slightly stretched, it makes sense if you maintain an open-minded attitude towards the movie. This is by far one of the most intriguing and unique movies I've seen in a while.

Enjoyable and original, deserves to be seen

This is one of the most original films I've seen. It clearly wasn't made with a huge amount of money, but the cinematography and production values are perfectly fine. The acting and editing are also convincing, but the real star is the script and the story it carries. The film is somewhat reminiscent of the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, at least in its realist treatment of science fiction. At its heart its about determinism vs free will and how that metaphysical conundrum accounts for love. Which sounds like it could be an ordeal to watch, but it isn't, instead it's interesting and enjoyable, and I think it deserves to be seen.
