Waste of 99p

This more of a studenty art film to be honest. The first ten minutes is simply a girl looking sadly into the distant. It's visually nice and the area looks great but it's also quite low budget. Not for me. Watch the trailer and you'll see what I mean.

Brilliant Visuals and Story - Deserves all the awards

This movie is an excellent example of how you take a simple coming of age theme where a kid is all grown up and ready to move into real world and package it into an exhilarating and visually stunning movie. The locales of Kii peninsula are simply breathtaking. The various camera angles capturing not only the beauty but the mood, the vivid colors showcasing the turquoise bay and the maroon sunset as well as wonderful use of out-of-focus and different lenses to capture fireworks, wide-angle ocean, beaches as well as the emotions of the lead characters is beyond describing. The struggles of Sora leave you wanting to help her. Finally, the tenderness of a father-daughter relationship - ALL of this in just over 1 hour. With Kids - Yes Watch again - Yes, many, many, many times. In fact, I watched all over just finishing once !! Don't look for a plot. Just try and understand the essence that the makers tried to portray in this beautiful movie !!

Visually stunning....

Visually stunning, almost perfect, but I found it ultimately to have a slow pace, and the result is boring.
